. Actel has a specialist field team that ensures quality control, monitors the progress of individual crops and manages the harvest at the optimum ripening point. The area's favourable climatic conditions enhance the quality of Actel's range of products, and an innovative cultivation policy favouring working practices that respect the environment is endorsed by the certificate of best growing practices from EurepGAP.

:· Fruit Logistics Center

. When the Fruit Logistics Centre was created in 1999, it was a pioneering development that brought together production packaging for 32 cooperatives in the Fruit Section. An initiative that has been copied by other important European groups, the Centre represented a technological development that consolidated Actel's position as the leading fresh-fruit distributor in Spain.

This facility, which has been certified by the most important official bodies, guarantees the quality of all of Actel's producer members.

State-of-the-art technology is combined with Actel's own traceability systems and adapted for use with all fruit varieties (according to size, weight, colour and sugar content), thus ensuring that their individual characteristics are maintained throughout the handling process, from the tree to the customer.

Its 21 cold-storage facilities offer GrupActel the capacity to store more than 90,000 tonnes of fruit in optimum conditions until it is packaged.


:· Mama Fruta, the 4th-Range Fruit Market

. Actel was the first fruit producer to launch a brand of peeled fruit on the market with the aim of increasing consumption of this kind of product. A number of different kinds of fruit (pears, apples, melons, watermelons, mangoes, pineapples, peaches, kiwis, oranges and lemons) are marketed under the Mama Fruta brand: fresh fruit that has been peeled, sliced and packaged. It is an innovative product that provides a convenient, accessible, high-quality response to the needs of consumers and the industry.
